The Office of Study Abroad & International Collaboration is seeking applications for the position of Student Assistant. Reporting to the Manager of the Office of Study Aboard and International Collaboration, this position will focus on assisting in the facilitation of refreshing study abroad post-COVID-19. This is a grant funded position that will focus on updating our current study abroad programs by working with students, faculty and staff across campus to enhance our current processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The student will:

  • Conduct interviews and/or focus groups with students and staff to understand the needs of students who will study abroad in the future
  • Update and redesign the pre-departure on-line session
  • Create new resources to support all students at all levels of the study abroad experience
  • Work with staff to create the necessary tools for students to help gain the most from each experience
  • Update the office’s website
  • Assist in the creation of marketing and promotional material
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The successful candidate will ideally be a senior level student, have international study abroad experience, and will be familiar with working in a post-secondary educational environment
  • This position requires strong research, computer, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Must have a keen eye for detail as well as excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities
  • Must be able to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Will need to have sound judgement and experience working with Faculty

Priority will be given to Bauder College (Atlanta) students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
